Our Story
A Durban-based mom-and-daughter duo started this passion project in 2020 when the imminent arrival of the first child and grandchild was on the way.
The nursery theme was ‘under the sea’, and Nana was on a mission to add some keepsakes to his room hence, little Octi was discovered. Octi’s beautiful story captured their hearts, and after a few friends spotted these little 8-legged creatures, they too were smitten, so the OCTI brand was born!
Originally known as Where’s Octi? because no-one could leave the house or begin nap time without using this coined phrase. However, over the years and as this little business has grown, they have added additional crochet friends to their consortium, and with that, a more suitable name was needed… OCTI AND FRIENDS!
With your continued support and loyalty, they have empowered and employed a lady from their local community to help fulfil your orders and so the little Octi family continues to grows.
